Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to operate the Service:

• IP Address: Collected automatically for connection routing, rate limiting, and ban enforcement.
• Device Hash: A random identifier stored in your browser for ban enforcement. This is not linked to your identity.
• Chat Messages: Messages are transmitted peer-to-peer in real time. We do not store chat message content on our servers.
• Report Screenshots: When a user is reported, a screenshot may be captured and sent to our moderation system. Screenshots are reviewed and may be retained for enforcement purposes.
• Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. You can use the Service without signing in.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Connect you with other users (IP address for peer-to-peer WebRTC connections).
• Enforce our Terms of Service (ban enforcement, abuse prevention).
• Review reported content and take moderation actions.
• Maintain and improve the Service (anonymous usage statistics).

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Chat content: Not stored on our servers. Messages are peer-to-peer and ephemeral.
• Report screenshots: Retained for the duration of a moderation review, typically up to 30 days.
• Ban records: IP addresses and device hashes of banned users are retained until the ban is lifted.
• Usage statistics: Anonymous aggregate data (visit counts, match counts) is retained indefinitely for analytics.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In: If you choose to log in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to the authentication process. We only receive your basic profile information.
• DeepSeek AI: Report screenshots may be analyzed by DeepSeek's vision API for NSFW content detection. Images are transmitted for analysis and not stored by the AI provider.
• STUN/TURN Servers: WebRTC connections may use Google STUN servers or our own TURN server for NAT traversal. These servers see your IP address as part of the connection protocol.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

• We use localStorage to store your device hash, age confirmation status, and session preferences. These are stored on your device only.
• We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:

• When required by law or to comply with legal process.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Next Chance, our users, or the public.
• With service providers (AI moderation, hosting) who are bound by confidentiality obligations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in Finland. If you access the Service from outside the European Economic Area, your information may be transferred to and processed in Finland.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new policy on this page.
